We held our last book sale of the year on Thurs 4th Dec, in aid of the Cancer Laryngectomee Trust and the Charing Cross Breast Clinic, in the Hammersmith site Foyer. Thank you to all the staff and students who supported us in our fundraising efforts.
The amount raised was £215 from books and £61 from the Pot of Gold. Special thanks to Teresa Harkin who single-handedly sold £65 of Pot of Gold tickets for us at Acton. What a great help. Thank you too, to Liz Price and Chris Holland who gave up their time, once again, to run the stall and did such a great job raising the rest of the money for us.
Ivel English was the lucky winner of the Pot of Gold and this generous lady gave £11 of her winnings back to the charities bringing the total for the day to £287.
Jenny Parkin and I would once again like to thank Lynne Pearson who allowed the sale to take place and to Bora and Ola who transported the books for us.
..........................................................................................
This brings the total raised for the Cancer Laryngectomee Trust to £2390.74
